About

Oriana is a French-Singaporean filmmaker and theatre director. She obtained her MFA in Film Production from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She has wanted to be a writer-director since the age of 14, after discovering Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro's movies.
Oriana's passion for working with actors and her love for theatre heavily influence her filmmaking. She studied acting in various schools, notably at the Lee Strasberg Institute, in order to understand the actor's process. She now teaches kids and teens Acting on Camera at the Young Adults Strasberg program there.
In addition, Oriana was a casting assistant and freelances as a casting director on short films. Prior to NYU, she studied Management with a focus on film business at HEC Paris. She also worked in film producing, development, talent management, sales and international coproductions in Europe and L.A..
Her films EXIT, Les trois valseurs (Waltz for Three) and Subway Crush have screened in film festivals around the world, notably at the Dallas International Film Festival, St. Louis International Film Festival, Brisbane International Film Festival, the Barbados Independent Film Festival and Dances with Films. She is currently in post-production on a new short.
After immersing herself in theatre for three years, Oriana had the great joy of directing three plays in 2025: The Cocktail Bench by John Harney (Fresh Fruit Festival, Theatre for the New City), Sugar Daddy, written by Dave Carley (Schreiber Shorts "It Happened to Me", Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre), and Eclipse, which also marked her playwrighting debut (The Chain Theatre's 2025 One-Act Summer Festival).
